Empowering those who care

The Australian and New South Wales Government is committed to supporting the development of skills labour. Businesses in Childcare, Aged Care and Disability Services can now apply for Government Wage Subsidies and Incentive Payments of up to $22,500.*

If you’re a business looking to invest in your employees’ skills, you may be eligible.

WHAT’S ON OFFER?

The Incentive System offers eligible businesses and employees the following benefits:

  • A wage subsidy for employers of apprentices and trainees in priority occupations. *Employers in metropolitan locations can receive up to $15,000 paid over three years, while those in regional locations can receive up to $22,500 paid over the same period.
  • A direct payment of up to $1,250 every six months, for a maximum of two years, to apprentices and trainees in priority occupations. This payment, up to a total of $5,000, aims to help cover the cost of living expenses and support them in completing their apprenticeship or traineeship.
  • A hiring incentive of up to $1,750 for employers who hire apprentices or trainees in occupations not included on the Priority List. This amount is paid in two instalments at six and 12 months after the commencement of the apprenticeship or traineeship, with a maximum value of $3,500.
